My Story
My journey with cancer began in May of 2010 when my Dad was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He passed away after a brave battle in May 2011 and then 3 months later, in August 2011, I was diagnosed with stage IV Ovarian Cancer. It was a shock to say the least. I underwent radical debulking surgery, which nearly took my life, but ultimately saved it. My incredible surgeons were able to remove all of the cancer and 6 months of chemo made sure it was all gone. 18 months later I’m able to say that cancer has been one of the hardest, but best things to ever happen to me. Life changed…for the better in many respects. I learned to appreciate everything and everyone so much more. I was also able to experience just how loved and supported I am. Having the support of organizations like Cancer Support WA is crucial for many people. They help improve so many lives. Please help me by supporting the wonderful work they do by sponsoring my portrait. So many lives are touched by cancer and donations of any size are greatly appreciated.

For over 30 years, Cancer Support WA has helped and supported many thousands of Western Australians affected by cancer to achieve wellness, healing and improve their outcomes from cancer.
The money Cancer Support WA raises through fundraising enables us to provide vital free services and programs including:
24 hour cancer support phone line
Counselling for individuals and families
Information packs for people newly diagnosed with cancer
Mentoring and grief groups
Cancer care packs
Home and hospital visits from counselling staff
Cancer wellness courses and seminars
Research, library and wellness magazine
Through your generous donation, Cancer Support WA is able to offer these services at no cost to West Australian families experiencing financial hardship due to cancer.
