Story
Dear Family and Friends,
Please help raise funds to give me the gift of my lifetime - a beautiful glass photographic portrait of myself by world-renowned portrait and fashion photographer Robbie Merritt - and support the work of an incredible local charity - Cancer Support WA.
Please show your support by sponsoring my portrait.
Thank you,
Callum & Tenille
"I thought only old people got cancer..." - Callum, 9 years old.
When Callum was 5 years old, he had sore back and was diagnosed with an infection in his spine after weeks of being in pain.
Two days later a Nurse said there were some Doctors in the other room and they wanted to talk with me. I instatntly knew it wasn't good.
I was told Callum had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Cancer had never entered into our minds so it was more than a shock to the system, it was for the whole family.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and Callum's Dad has Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP- tunnel vision) and is legally blind. This alone was plenty for us to deal with.
Callum has endured over three and a half years of harsh treatment. He has handled it so very well. He is a very strong boy and amazes me at his resilience! It has been a huge, horrible, scary journey. I hope that there are no ongoing effects due to the various drugs and procedures he endured. This is one of my biggest fears now.
I am very proud to say that Callum is now cancer free. But I will never stop worrying......
Callum wants to be a LEGO Design Engineer and he spends countless hours building scultpures, buildings, and other intriciate designs.
We are all so very proud of you Callum!! xxxx
Thank you,
Callum & Tenille
