Dear family and friends,

My Story
It has been a bit over 19months since I lost Tanya and over 2 years that I became aware of the CSA. The different regular meetings and courses catering to patients and carers have been of enourmous benefit and even though Tanya succumbed, i still try and make the monthly grief counselling sessions. I do not know if I would have coped with the feeling of being lost and aimless, racked with grief, had I not had those Thursdays to look forward to. These sessions have provided me with a safe space to “let it all hang out”. Even though I started “functioning” soon after Tanya’s death, I still hurt and am grateful that the CSA has this programme in place which is invaluable while I journey/adjust to my new reality.

For over 30 years, Cancer Support WA has helped and supported many thousands of Western Australians affected by cancer to achieve wellness, healing and improve their outcomes from cancer.
The money Cancer Support WA raises through fundraising enables us to provide vital free services and programs including:
24 hour cancer support phone line
Counselling for individuals and families
Information packs for people newly diagnosed with cancer
Mentoring and grief groups
Cancer care packs
Home and hospital visits from counselling staff
Cancer wellness courses and seminars
Research, library and wellness magazine
Through your generous donation, Cancer Support WA is able to offer these services at no cost to West Australian families experiencing financial hardship due to cancer.
